Privacy
This notice describes cookies and similar storage used by Coaptive sites operated by Code 44 LLC / Michael Garcia. Questions: michael@code44.co.
The sign-in cookie stores an opaque id. Your name, email, and records stay on the server.
Cookies
| Cookie | When it is set | What it contains | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
coaptive-session on Coaptive GMEcoaptive-core-session on Coaptive Core | While you use the site | An encrypted session id. On the Code 44 GME host the cookie is shared with subdomains of coaptive.dev. On Coaptive Core it stays on that host. The server session holds the signed-in account id and, on GME, the active program. | 24 hours without activity on the Code 44 hosts |
XSRF-TOKEN | With the session cookie | An encrypted token that protects forms. It does not identify you. | Same as the session |
remember_web_59ba36addc2b2f9401580f014c7f58ea4e30989d | Only if you check Remember me at sign-in | An encrypted user id, a remember token, and a hash of the password hash. The password itself is not stored. | 400 days |
coaptive_locale | Coaptive Core only, after you choose a language | A language code such as es | 1 year |
coaptive_consent | After you answer the cookie banner, when that banner is turned on | Whether you allowed analytics and marketing | 1 year |
Analytics
Analytics and marketing tags are off unless an administrator enables them. When the cookie banner is on, those tags stay blocked until you accept analytics or marketing. A vendor such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Meta, PostHog, or Matomo may then set its own cookies. Umami, Plausible, and Fathom are typically cookieless.
Other storage on this device
Light, dark, and system appearance (coaptive.color_mode) and accessibility preferences (coaptive.a11y) are saved in this browser’s local storage. They are not cookies. The consent choice is also copied there when the banner is on.
